Gish Amit is a teacher, lecturer and writer. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Hebrew Literature at Ben-Gurion University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin, and a fellow at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. Over the past two decades, he has taught literature and philosophy at university and college levels, and worked in education. He is currently the principal at a school in Jaffa for Jewish, Arab, and asylum-seeking students. Cedrick is Amit's fifth book.
